Concordia Lutheran High School has been providing Christ-centered educational excellence since 1935. We are a 9-12 school that offers 15 distinct academic programs (including 16 AP classes, 8 Dual Credit classes, and 7 Honors classes). We offer 21 different sports for boys and girls, and more than 20 different clubs and activities, including a JROTC leadership program. We pride ourselves on small class sizes and a family atmosphere!

CLHS A Cappella Choir Spring Tour

The CLHS premiere concert choir, the 42-voice, A Cappella Choir is now on their annual tour through March 17th when they will return home for their final tour performance at Kramer Chapel on the campus of Concordia Theological Seminary Fort Wayne. They will be going as far west as Norfolk, Nebraska with stops in La Porte, Indiana, Urbandale, Iowa, Omaha, Nebraska, and Lincoln, Nebraska. They plan on spending a day at the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha which was ranked #1 in the nation by USA Today 2 years in a row. The A Cappella Choir exists to honor God and proclaim the love of Christ in song. Tour is their opportunity to take this message on the road! All concerts are free to attend. CLHS Media Arts Students Attend IASB Conference

Earlier this week. CLHS Media Arts students attended the Indiana Association of School Broadcasters Spring Conference at Butler University with over 800 students from schools across the state. Students had the opportunity to network and attend workshops with media professionals such as filmmakers, radio show hosts, and journalists.

Cross Country Runners Recognized With All State Honors

3A All-State Honors: Mallory Weller - Runner of the Year Daphne Weller - 1st Team Brylee Crass - Honorable Mention Hannah Clark - Honorable Mention Lilly Schlicker - Honorable Mention Maddie Gentz - Honorable Mention Will Schlegel - 1st Team Hunter Panning - Honorable Mention Cillian Hover - Honorable Mention In Indiana high school sports, the Class 3A IHSAA All-State Honors are prestigious accolades awarded to student-athletes competing in Class 3A schools. These honors recognize outstanding performance, skill, and contributions in their respective sports during the season. The Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) oversees the classification of schools based on enrollment, with Class 3A typically representing medium-sized schools.

New Indiana State Indoor Girls Track Records

CLHS Girls Track Update! At a recent meet at Grand Valley State University, Mallory Weller ran a new personal record of 10:11.3 in the 3200m. This sets a new SCHOOL RECORD for Mallory AND sets a NEW INDIANA INDOOR RECORD ranking Mallory with the 6th best 3200m All-Time in the State of Indiana. Also at this meet, the 4x800 team of Daphne Weller, Maddie Gentz, Brylee Crass, and Mallory set a NEW INDIANA INDOOR RECORD with a time of 9:13.1. Way to go, Cadets!

CLHS DECA State Competition 2025 Results

Twenty-four Cadets competed at DECA State Competition from Sunday to Tuesday, March 2-4. Jack Habegger, Sam David, and Kathryn Crook have qualified to compete at the DECA International Competition in Orlando, Florida from April 25 to April 30.

Austin Jefferies Competes In Bowling Regionals

On Saturday 1/25/2025, Austin Jefferies represented Concordia at the Fort Wayne Regional Singles event at MVP. Top 11 boys advanced to Semi State. Austin placed 24th out of 47 bowlers, with a 546, missing advancement by 50 pins. Great effort! The Cadet bowling season has now come to a close. Thanks to this year's team for making it fun and breaking some new Concordia team records. Cadets representing this year's team consisted of: Hudson Kraft, Margret Gilman, Milas Woods, Joe Cobb, Austin Jefferies, Micah David, Ethan Walker, Ben Lehman, and Isaac Garnett.

Winicker and Pesick Crowned SAC Wrestling Champions

Concordia Lutheran High School wrestlers Nolan Winicker (157 lbs) and Aidan Pesick (150 lbs) took home 1st place titles at the SAC Wrestling Championship. Their impressive performances secured individual victories in their weight classes, showcasing their hard work and dedication to the sport. As a team, the Cadets put up a strong fight, finishing 4th overall in the meet. Congratulations to Nolan, Aidan, and the entire wrestling team on a great competition!

Five CLHS Seniors Named to 3A Football Indiana Academic All-State Team

Concordia Lutheran High School is proud to recognize Jack Andrews, Jalen Campos, Avery Cook, Ethan Rich, and Zach Spielman for earning a spot on Indiana's Academic All-State Team for 3A football. This prestigious honor highlights student-athletes who excel both on the field and in the classroom, demonstrating outstanding academic achievement alongside their commitment to athletics. Earning Academic All-State recognition is no small feat, as it requires a strong GPA, dedication to coursework, and excellence in football. Congratulations to these five seniors on this well-deserved achievement!

CLHS Students Attend Beyond the Game Leadership Luncheon

Eight Concordia Lutheran High School students had the opportunity to attend the Beyond the Game Leadership Luncheon on Wednesday, February 12, at the ASH Center in Fort Wayne. This special event brings together student-athletes from across the region to hear from inspiring speakers, engage in leadership discussions, and learn valuable life skills that extend beyond sports. Representing CLHS at the luncheon were Lauren Goodman, Bekah Morrison, Will Schlegel, Jack Habegger, Mallory Weller, Remmington Tallent, Carson Dale, and Grant Allman. These students were selected for their leadership, dedication, and commitment to excellence both on and off the field. Events like Beyond the Game equip students with tools to become strong, character-driven leaders in their schools and communities. Congratulations to our student representatives for taking part in this meaningful experience!

This prestigious award honors young writers for their creativity, originality, and exceptional literary talent. TaylorAnn's thought-provoking poem showcases her unique voice and storytelling ability, earning well-deserved recognition in this highly competitive competition. Freshmen Cohort Inducted into Concordia's Honors Academy for 2nd Semester

Concordia Lutheran High School welcomes it's second semester group of freshmen to the Honors Academy. The Honors Academy promotes exceptional academics, leadership and community service among students. Through service opportunities, leadership summits, and college visits, students are given every opportunity to excel in their learning. Begun in 2014, program involves academic rigor and discovery, creative processing and research, mentor directed community service and leadership development as well as student bonding and support.

FCCLA State CLHS Competition Team

FCCLA would like to introduce our State Conference School Representative and Star Event-Baking and Pastry Competition Team: EVAN GERNHARDT - School Representative KEATON GASS - Baking and Pastry Team ROSE FOLSTER - Baking and Pastry Team These students will represent Concordia Lutheran High School during the FCCLA State Conference in Muncie, Indiana. Keaton and Rose have been working hard to hone their baking skills in preparation for the event. Within a time limit, each competitor will produce and present choux pastry, blueberry muffins, cookies and decorate a two-layer cake per specifications. If you see them, wish them luck!

CLHS Students Serve as State Senate Pages

Concordia Lutheran High School students Lucy Moll and Alyssa Purwanto were welcomed to the Statehouse by State Sen. Liz Brown (R-Fort Wayne) this week. They spent the day touring the Statehouse, observing debates, and interacting with Brown. "I always enjoy meeting with local students who have traveled all the way down to the Statehouse to learn about state government," Brown said. "It is so valuable for our Hoosier youth to learn about the legislative process and how they can become civically engaged in our community." "There is no better way to do that than to be a Senate page, and I encourage local schools and parents to consider signing students up for this unique opportunity." Students in grades six through 12 can participate in the program on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays during the legislative session and groups serve on Wednesdays.

CLHS Theater Department Presents Newsies

The CLHS Theatre Department presented its production of NEWSIES last weekend. Set in turn-of-the century New York City, Newsies is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a band of teenaged "newsies." When titans of publishing raise distribution prices at the newsboys' expense, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions and fight for what's right! Based on the 1992 motion picture and inspired by a true story, Newsies features the classic songs "Carrying the Banner," "Seize the Day," and "Santa Fe," Newsies is packed with non-stop thrills and a timeless message, perfect for the whole family. This musical is directed by Mr. Chris Murphy, with musical direction by Mr. Isaac Weander.

Congratulations to freshman Haley Terrell winning the 1-meter diving competition at the SAC meet with a score of 368. This helped Concordia girls repeat as SAC champions.

CLHS Girls Swim Team Claims SAC Championship Title

Congratulations to the girls swim team for winning the SAC championship. Swimmers earning first team all SAC include Cocoa Milleman and Lydia Hogue with the maximum number of points (40). This is followed by Leah Scott (37), Leah Mallory (37), Quinn Lenwell (33), Lauren Harris (31), and Erin Hartzog (31).

On Saturday 1/11/2025, all Concordia bowlers participated in the Fort Wayne Sectional Singles at Pro Bowl West. Top scores from 17 boys and 8 girls are moving on to compete in the Fort Wayne Regionals that will be held 1/25/2025 at MVP Lanes.

Rising Stars of Indiana is a non-competitive recognition program, designed to honor high school juniors for their academic achievement. By allowing schools to identify outstanding scholars during their Junior year, we hope to increase their visibility and scholarship opportunities. Each Indiana high school can recognize up to four individual students.

CLHS DECA Has Strong Showing At District Competition

CLHS DECA students did a fantastic job of competing and shining their lights on Saturday at Manchester University for District Competition! Thirty six CLHS students competed, and 20 have earned the placement (1st, 2nd, 3rd) to advance to state competition in March! Our DECA district includes the following schools: Homestead, Canterbury, Lakeland, Northside and Mississenewa.
