Concordia Lutheran High School

The Concordia Lutheran High School Band and Orchestra recently took their talents on the road for their annual tour, bringing beautiful music and fellowship to communities across the Midwest. From February 6 through 10, students performed in three incredible venues, sharing their God-given gifts through inspiring concerts. The tour began with a stop at Trinity Lutheran Church in Elkhart, Indiana, where the musicians set the tone for an exciting journey with a 6:30 p.m. performance on February 6. From there, they traveled to Concordia University Chicago in River Forest, Illinois, performing for students, faculty, and guests in a special 7:00 p.m. concert on February 8. The tour concluded back home in Fort Wayne, where they played their final concert at St. Michael Lutheran Church on February 10 at 7:00 p.m., wrapping up a memorable trip filled with music, faith, and fellowship. This annual tour is a cherished tradition at CLHS, allowing students to share their talents, connect with Lutheran communities, and grow as musicians and ambassadors of our school. These honors recognize outstanding performance, skill, and contributions in their respective sports during the season. The Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) oversees the classification of schools based on enrollment, with Class 3A typically representing medium-sized schools.

Congratulations to Rose Folster (Silver Medal), Keaton Gass (Bronze Medal) and Evan Gernhardt (Voting Delegate) for their participation and placing at FCCLA State Conference, Baking and Pastry Competition.

Twenty-four Cadets competed at DECA State Competition from Sunday to Tuesday, March 2-4. Jack Habegger, Sam David, and Kathryn Crook have qualified to compete at the DECA International Competition in Orlando, Florida from April 25 to April 30.

Eight Concordia Lutheran High School students had the opportunity to attend the Beyond the Game Leadership Luncheon on Wednesday, February 12, at the ASH Center in Fort Wayne. This special event brings together student-athletes from across the region to hear from inspiring speakers, engage in leadership discussions, and learn valuable life skills that extend beyond sports. Representing CLHS at the luncheon were Lauren Goodman, Bekah Morrison, Will Schlegel, Jack Habegger, Mallory Weller, Remmington Tallent, Carson Dale, and Grant Allman. These students were selected for their leadership, dedication, and commitment to excellence both on and off the field. Events like Beyond the Game equip students with tools to become strong, character-driven leaders in their schools and communities. Congratulations to our student representatives for taking part in this meaningful experience!

Congratulations to Concordia Lutheran High School junior TaylorAnn Minarik, who has been recognized with a Scholastic Art & Writing Award for her poem, "It's Her First Time Being Alive Too." This prestigious award honors young writers for their creativity, originality, and exceptional literary talent. TaylorAnn's thought-provoking poem showcases her unique voice and storytelling ability, earning well-deserved recognition in this highly competitive competition. The CLHS community is proud of her accomplishment and looks forward to seeing her continue to shine as a writer. Way to go, TaylorAnn!

Concordia Lutheran High School JROTC Drill Teams killed it on the Drill Floor in Holland, Ohio. Concordia brought home many awards.

Concordia Lutheran High School JROTC Raiders A-Team rocked the All Services Raider Nationals at Fort Knox, Kentucky. Aiden Lyttle and Maddie Reddinger were crowned the All Services Ultimate Raider National Champions and earned $320,000 in Army ROTC Scholarships. The Raider Team placed 2nd Overall in the All Services Services Co-Ed Division. The team earned the following individual awards: 5K 2nd place, Gauntlet 2nd place, Cross Country Rescue 4th, and Physical Team Test 5th. There were over 280 schools competing from all over the United States.

Congratulations to our 2024-2025 National Honor Society (NHS) members! A public induction ceremony is Monday, October 14 at 7:00 PM. All are invited to attend!

Concordia Lutheran High School class of 2024 officially graduated during the Baccalaureate and Commencement ceremony at the Embassy Theatre on Sunday. Congratulations graduates and blessings on your bright future.

Each CLHS Honors Academy student completes a Senior Research Project that reflects an academic interest, personal concern, or career aspiration. The student designs the project, conducts research, and maintains a portfolio that documents the project. Each student is guided by a mentor and then presents his/her work. This is the culminating project for the Honors Academy students. This year there are 10 seniors who presented throughout March, April and early May.

Canstruction Fort Wayne is back for 2024 at Glenbrook Square! Seven amazing schools are competing this year and CLHS is one of them. All proceeds will benefit hunger relief. Event Dates: April 26 (build day) through May 5 (tear down) Event Theme: "Earth Day" and "Going for the Gold"

Members of the senior class were recognized Sunday, May 1st for their academic accomplishments. The Martin Fischer Memorial Scholarship is a $32,000 scholarship over four years, which is awarded to an outstanding senior who plans to enter a humanities-related field.

40 Concordia Lutheran HS students were nominated to participate in the American Mathematics Competition on Tuesday, November 14, a nationwide mathematics contest. Congratulations to the following Concordia students who received site awards, indicating they had the top scores among CLHS students: AMC 10 3rd place - Aiden Slattery 1st place -Katrina Fegley 1st place - Hannah Bryan AMC 12 3rd place - Cameryn McConkey 2nd place - Nathan Bryan 1st place - Alex Jones These scores are now submitted for national competition.

Miami University students who are ranked in the top twenty percent of undergraduate students within each division for the spring semester 2023 have been named to the Dean's list recognizing academic excellence.
