Concordia Lutheran High School has been providing Christ-centered educational excellence since 1935. We are a 9-12 school that offers 15 distinct academic programs (including 16 AP classes, 8 Dual Credit classes, and 7 Honors classes). We offer 21 different sports for boys and girls, and more than 20 different clubs and activities, including a JROTC leadership program. We pride ourselves on small class sizes and a family atmosphere!

Zollner Art Award Winner Announced

Congratulations to all of the student art award winners who were announced near the conclusion of Concordia Lutheran High School's Fine Arts Festival. Chris Dawson won the Zollner Art Award, the top CLHS art prize! His photo, "A Cold Winter's Night", will be purchased by CLHS for $200 and be placed on display in the main hallway of the high school.

Mutually Assured Distruction - CLHS Spring Play

A century's worth of sibling squabbles is boiled down into ten vignettes in this era-hopping tribute to family. Each short play explores a distinct facet of brother and sisterhood, from fights over who caused mom and dad to split to daring escape plots that only two sisters could pull off. No matter the decade, audiences will see themselves in these ten distinct shorts about the undeniable bond between siblings through the ages. This comedy is directed by Mr. Chris Murphy.

ISSMA STATE SOLO & ENSEMBLE RESULTS! The Concordia Lutheran High School choral department participated in the vocal ISSMA Solo & Ensemble State contest held at Perry Meridian High School in Indianapolis on Saturday, February 18.

CLHS Maroon Standard - Wins Indiana Vocal Jazz State Runner-Up Honors

The 'Maroon Standard' Chamber Choir had their best performance of the year at the Jazz State Finals on Friday, March 17! As one of 8 selected state finalists, they performed a 3 song set of: Words, Somewhere over the Rainbow, and The Song is You for a panel of nationally recognized musician adjudicators. They were one of the top performances of the evening earning a standing ovation, many professional compliments and ultimately recognized as the 2023 State Runner- Up in Vocal Jazz!

CLHS Fine Arts Festival

CLHS held its annual High School Art Show during Fine Arts Week this month. The top prize this year was awarded to senior Max Park for his film, "Turtles and Tortugas." See that video here. Here are the full results for the high school category:

This prestigious performing ensemble works with an esteemed guest clinician from around the country and gives students an opportunity to play with other high-caliber students throughout the state.

IHSCGA Regional A State Championship Winners

Concordia had four students participate with the Snider HS Winter Color Guard this past winter season. The combined Color Guard knocked it out of the park and won the IHSCGA Regional A State Championship and were undefeated throughout the competition season. (Indiana High School Color Guard Association) The show was titled, "Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust." CLHS students competing were senior Jordan Gilbert, junior Devin Hairston, freshman Sarah Snyder, and Bethany Kroemer (who attends Concordia grade school). Congrats, students!

9 CLHS Students Make All-State Choir

Students from across the state auditioned for this opportunity in the fall. Judges selected the top singers in each voice part from 16 regions of Indiana. The best singers then received music and rehearsed regionally to prepare. The All-State choir experience is two days of rehearsing, learning, and growing culminating in a concert experience as part of the statewide IMEA conference. Renowned choral clinician, Dr. Brad Holmes, from Millikin University will direct the All-State choir.

Congratulations to our Fine Arts Award Recipients

Congratulations to these students who were recognized during our Fine Arts Festival on March 27. Students were awarded based on categories. Our top prize, the Zollner Art Award, was given to senior Wyatt Chesebrough, "Self Sabotage."

Marching Band Drum Majors Announced

The Marching Band held its auditions recently for Drum Major for next year, and 11 students tried out. They are excited to announce that David Millman and Lydia O'Dell have been selected as the 2022 Drum Majors for the Marching Cadets! Great job to all students who auditioned.

Congratulations to the CLHS Chamber Choir! They were named the 2022 Honor Choir - State Champions in the 6th Annual Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA) State Jazz Finals on Friday, March 18 at Franklin Central High School. This highly prestigious event featured the finest eight vocal jazz ensembles in the state of Indiana as determined by their State Qualifying round scores from four regional sites.

Nathan Zeckzer Named Outstanding Soloist at the ISSMA State Jazz Finals
